I don't understand what she means by 4 can be made up by other numbers?

- Dyscalculia Teaching & Help: There are special ways of teaching dyscalculics. The main point with dyscalculia teaching is that those with dyscalculia need to use actual materials (real materials not pictures of things). Making dice patterns can help to convey the idea that not only is four, four but that four can be made of two and two (i.e. that whole numbers can have parts within them). This helps develop the concept of fourness (the numerosity) by seeing the dice patterns. Parents can help by playing dice games. It is essential that children with dyscalculia are given specialist teaching and help.
