Try a developmental pediatrician. These Dr.s are skilled at finding the correct diagnosis. In the meantime, work with your child's school to collect work samples, modify assignments and keep track of the accommodations are currently being used and the success of the accommodations. Federal law requires schools to modify work to meet the needs of students if any disability is suspected. Gathering this information will be helpful to both your Dr. and to the school when considering which special programs your child might qualify for.
