Dear Sir
Is there any agency like UN or any other International agency etc. which could help getting dyslexia persons some kind of a Job etc. I am in India.
I have seen a lot of dyslexia websites which explain the various schools for correction, but have not come across as to where do these special children go in Life as they grow up, their sustenance, assured bread and Butter for the rest of their lives.

I have dyslexia and it is hard for me to keep up with my co-worker, I have been put on personal improvement plan by my supervisor bascially as a punishment for asking too many questions. The traning for the my position was not great, and me knowing nothing about code enforcement did not help me either. I had to hunt for answers because I did not have a clue of what I was doing. I am afraid at this point I will lose my job. Help!

I am 47 and have dyslexia , I have found that it might take a little longer to learn a task or job requirement but once learned I can excede and surpass the norm, I know it might take those with dyslexia longer in some area's, but we will work harder to get it done,I myself have had go into contracting, because of the obsticles at regular work place, and in that have encountered many new obsticles and uncertianies, help.

I taught my self while working for architects, when I went to university I failed my law exams. I re took it the next year using a mind map. I ended up really enjoying it and got good at it but sill failed because they could not read my handwriting. I then finished my dissertation after a long struggle. I then started my next degree and thought the education was really bad and dropped out.
As I was starting to run jobs at the same time I didn’t seem to mater much. Now twenty years later I find myself not able to get an architectural job because architects want to stop everyone else doing the job. I was looking to go back to University but find that most architects think architectural education is really bad.
I now think that architects are trying to protect them self’s because they are very bad at doing their own job.
I am trying to find something ells to do now but dose not seem that easy when you have lots of experiences and want to change direction.

I HAVE 2 ADULT KIDS WITH DYSLEXIA. DEPENDING HOW SEVERE? ONE GOT A JOB AS A MEDICAL BILLER, HAS BEEN DOING THAT FOR 4 YEARS. SHE SAYS IT EASY..IT'S MOSTLY NUMBERS AND THE OTHER ONE HAS A SEVERE FORM OF IT AND WENT INTO CHILD CARE. (MAYBE OPEN A CHILD CARE BUSINESS) WHICH REQUIRES LITTLE READING, CAUSE YOUR DEALING WITH LITTLE KIDS WHO DON'T KNOW HOW TO READ,SO READING IS NOT AN ISSUE. FIND A JOB WHERE THERE IS A ROUTINE INVOLVED. TRY A JOB WITH NUMBERS? I HAVE A FRIEND WHO HAS HER OWN BUSINESS, SHE IS DYSLEXIC. A SUCCESSFULL BOOKEEPER. TAKE YOUR TIME WITH EVERY TASK. BE REALISTIC ABOUT YOUR SITUATION. IT IS WHAT IT IS.
