ADHD/ADD Awareness Training:
ADHD is short for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and we often relate ADHD to people, particularly children who are ‘always on the go’ or ‘can’t sit still’. Although many children find it difficult to concentrate and pay attention to tasks this does not necessarily mean that they have ADHD. People with ADHD can learn to think about how it affects their lives. The session will look at:
• A definition of ADHD
• Trying to understand what ADHD means in everyday life
• Looking at strengths and weaknesses for people with ADHD
• Thinking about how we can help
