My 8 yr old son suffer's from ADHD is he entitled to a free laptop? if so how and what do i need to do to apply for it.

Hi Sultana

There is a government home access scheme that provides free computers to children who are disabled if they are eligible. Disability covers physical, cognitive and behavioural. It would be easy to find out if ADHD comes under disability by ringing your Local Authority ParentsinPartnership office your school will have their number. To meet the criteria for a free pc your child also has to be eligible for free school meals.

i have 1 child with dyslexia and 2 with adhd and dyslexia, why cant we get reduced priced laptops or even free ones like the rest. both me and my husband work, but we are not entitiled to anything. why.?

what about adults?

where are all the up to date support sites for those of us who were not diagnosed as children? And having just been diagnosed at the age of 33 i am meeting a brick wall wherever i turn for support.

theres a support group in hammersmith london for adults. I live in Brighton, it takes me nearly 2 hours to get there so yes i sympathise with your fustrations. At 36 this year i was diagnosed.

My son has dyslexia he is strugling with his school work people are telling me he will benifit from having a laptop to do his work on I have been told he as it bad by the school after him being assest how do I apply for one ?
