I've never really understood why Gifted and Talented (T and G) are put in the SEN bracket?
Loads of kids aren't stretched at school, but I don't see where the problem lies in that. There seems to be this feeling amongst a lot of parents (and the government clearly) that if a child is not struggling - is not stretched to his/her limits - he/she is not learning. Brains refuel when they're not working; kids need a work/life balance as much as we do!
