Dyspraxia Awareness Training:
Dyspraxia is difficulties with movement and organising movements. This can have a big effect on peoples lives and sometimes they appear to be ‘clumsy’ or have difficulties because they drop things or always seem to be bumping into things. It can also mean that they find social relationships difficult because they misjudge how close to stand, when to talk etc.
As well as affecting movement and coordination, dyspraxia can also affect planning and organisation. During the training we shall look at:
• A definition of dyspraxia
• Trying to understand how having dyspraxia might affect both children and adults
• Consider the affects on friendships and activities
• Thinking about ways to help and support people with dyspraxia
