I just wanted to check if theres a difference between dyspraxia or DCD (developmental coordination disorder). Are they just different terms for the same thing or is there a difference in terms of them being different conditions?

I believe they are the same thing. DCD is more commonly used internationally whereas dyspraxia is the more common term in the UK.

Dyspraxia and developmental co-ordination disorder (DCD) are commonly used interchangably. Teachers tend to use the term Dyspraxia. Dyspraxia (impaired motor control) is a syptom associated with DCD. DCD much better describes the range of symptoms experienced by the person. See DSM IV (American psychiatric association) for diagnostic criteria for DCD. DCD is probably a more useful 'label' (if only it was more commonly used there might be a greater understanding of this disorder).
