Are you interested in participating in research about DYSLEXIA?
Language researchers at Brooklyn College and The Graduate Center are looking for:
• People who ONLY HAVE dyslexia
• People who HAVE dyslexia as well as another learning disability or multiple learning disabilities (ADD/ADHD, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, etc.)
• People who DO NOT have dyslexia, but have a PARENT, SIBLING, or CHILD with dyslexia
Information about the Research:
• This study involves mainly verbal and reading tasks
• Duration: Approximately 2 hours
• Location: Brooklyn College
Eligibility:
• Age criteria: between 18 and 35
• Language: learned English before age 5
Compensation:
• Individuals who participate will be compensated $20 ($10/hour)

Dyslexia Help: What Dyslexia Parents Can Do: Dr Valerie Muter gives and insight into how parents can help their children to cope with dyslexia and provide dyslexia help. She gives a view of both what can be done in the early years and the middle years.
Dyslexia, Dyspraxia & Overlapping Learning Difficulties: Amanda Kirby describes the co-occurrence of learning difficulties (also known as comorbidity) and how dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD overlap. She discusses the importance of the whole child approach when assessing if your child has any learning issues.
Dyslexia: Disability or Gift?: Richard Whitehead outlines ways in which dyslexia can be an advantage. He questions some of the commonly held perceptions about dyslexia and its impact.
