Hello there, I am a student on Open University E801 Difficulties in Literacy Development. I am just writing up my End of course assessment, the topic of which is use of assistive technologies by higher education students(especially voice recognition, text to speech and mindmapping). I am looking for information on research carried out recently on the effectiveness of programs such as Dragon and in particular any correlation between amount of training and pre-existing levels of IT skills with effective use of the software.
Would be really grateful to hear from anyone involved in research in this field.
Thanks.
