Hi, my son has tinted glasses which we had to pay for but I understand that different counties have different funding, so it's worth asking. The test itself was done at our local opticians and cost £45, the lenses were extra, again you may well get a prescription for these. If your local optician does not have the equipment to do this test they may know where has. If you get no-where with this you could always buy colour overlays to start, try a few out to see which one is best it won't be exact but any shade of the right colour is better than nothing i'm told. Your SENCO will know where to get them from. The other thing we did before getting the glasses was to change the background colour of the computer, also at school the whiteboard background could be changed. I hope this helps.

i would really appreciate any advice my daughter is showing all the signs of dyslexia she can`t see black on white without jumbling her senco at school agrees but the lea say different she has passed her eye test passed her hearing but now has to go for speech therapy even though she speaks clearly all i want is the psychologist colour test done so we can buy the special glasses to help her we have offered to pay for the colour test but can`t has anyone any advice we have had 12+ months of getting no where with getting her the right help all these test seem such a waste of time thanks for any help
