Hi We are in exactly the same position. Our son is 14 but with the same issues. He has been failed by the system and we naively believed he would receive the right sort of help. We removed him from school in January so just finding our feet really. We are encouraging reading, maths skills cooking painting and photography at the moment.
Good Luck

Hello Michelle
It is a shame you have had to take your daughter out of school. I was wondering if you needed resources to help her with reading & spelling difficulties.
I have been selling a CD of over 350 resources for primary age pupils for £10 to cover costs. I have just finished adapting all the resources to be more suitable for secondary pupils/adults. This has mainly meant changing the pictures on all the games & learning aids that have them. I had some pupils with very severe difficulties when I was teaching & needed a lot of different activities at each stage. I could send you some examples if you email me. I would be happy to help you get started & would be available by phone any time.
