I believe my son is dysgraphic. I didn't realize he could have a learning disability as I thought he was just rushing and being too lazy to write properly. He is nearly failing several of his classes because he is afraid to turn in his work because he will be made to re-write it. I am contacting the school to have him assessed under a 504, but in the meantime his teachers and I are working together and although I have not brought it up with them, I am considering the purchase of a tablet PC so that he can take notes in class without the use of a scribe or requiring more work of the teachers. Have any of you done this and is helpful or more of a distraction?
